Crowns
What are crowns?
Over time, teeth can weaken, making them more vulnerable to decay, cracks, or discoloration. A dental crown provides both renewed strength and improved appearance.
Dental crowns can:
- Protect a weakened tooth from breaking
- Support and hold a cracked tooth together
- Cover and restore a damaged or decayed tooth
- Mask severe discoloration
- Rebuild a broken or excessively worn tooth
Crowns are often part of comprehensive dental treatments including root canal therapy, dental implants, or as anchors for bridges, enabling restored function and aesthetics. Crowns are usually made of porcelain (or porcelain-fused-to-metal), offering both durability and a natural look.
